too old 2 befriend new emos too young 4 og's lolz

im almost 21 and luvluv tht emo culture is gaining more appreciation from younger kids so we can continue to carry it on c,: i started listening to the music and adapting the style when i was 8, which was in 2008 so it was already on it's way to dying out. but i at least got a touch of the experience while it was popular, i hung out with all of the older kids in my neighborhood and we all wore kandi and skated arnd (one of them explained to me the "emo" way to cut urself lmaooo)

now all thru middle school and high school emo was dead and no one gave a fuck and i had no friends lololol, and im kinda sad that im already 21 when it's finally resurfacing. even though im still young i'm not some weirdo who's gonna try to be friends with 15 yr olds who R just discovering emo/scene cuture, and im also too young to share anything in common with emos who have been so forever because they're about a decade older than me. im like right in the middle and don't see many people my age, i just want the whole experience hahaha Dx

haiii!! actually i found you on r/rawring20s and i really wanted to add you here but i didnt have an account - after a few days, i decided to make one and i actually just see your account randomly pop up, so its kinda meant to be! :D thanks for inspiring me to make a spacehey account, this is soooo nostalgic!!!

but as for ur thoughts here..SAAME. im also 20 and its a weird in-between age in general, but even more so for a subculture that was already on its way out when we discovered it lol. honestly in my area (so-cal) emo kids were still definitely thriving - i think pierce the veil played a big role in this staying alive for another few yrs (dropping albums in 2010 and 12 and becoming a staple in san diego emo kids lives lol). still i left the "phase" pretty early on because of my conservative arab family and now that im an adult, im actually really missing my carefree "idgaf" years of 2010-2013.

anyway i feel like we have a lot in common; i hope we can be frens :D
