I know that this post is kind of tongue and cheek but, fun things can be bad. Smartphones are fun, but they reduce your attention span and ability to plan for the future because they hit you with instant gratification. Masturbating is similar because it's another avenue of free pleasure. Not to mention that the more fun you have the less fun you get. Biology is a downer and has a limit to how much hedonism you can indulge and everything becomes dull after a while. It's totally posible to indulge in so much hedonism (masturbation, excessive internet use, eating too many sweets) that you forget how nice the roses smell on a warm summer morning, along with other small pleasures of life.
