Lately when I log into SpaceHey, I notice it’s not as active as it used to be. The homepage doesn’t refresh as often, fewer blogs appear, and many familiar usernames seem to have disappeared. It feels like the once busy space has slowly gone quiet.
Maybe life got busy for everyone, or the nostalgia that brought us all here has started to fade. Maybe people moved on to faster platforms with algorithms and trends. Whatever the reason is, the silence feels strange, almost like walking through an old street you remember being full of noise
But still, SpaceHey has something other platforms don’t: it feels real. No influencer culture, no competition for likes, no pressure to be perfect. Just people sharing thoughts, emotions, music, and pieces of their life simply because they want to
I miss that energy, and I hope it returns someday. If you’re still here, say hi, post something, leave a comment, let’s bring the spark back together. Maybe it’s quiet now, but it doesn’t have to stay this way

I am still here and i plan to stay here for some time. its just currently i am super busy with life overall and taken a break from the internet itself
understandable, life gets busy, and taking a break from the internet is honestly healthy. It’s still really nice to know you’re here and planning to stick around though

i think the reason why its so quiet now is because theres so much things to do on places like tiktok (as a simple example). people have gotten used to being constantly engaged with and its why youtube, instagram, and tiktok do well. everytime you scroll, signals are being sent to your brain which gives you dopamine, which causes you to invest more time in it as a distraction, etc. spacehey lacks in that aspect, which is its main "selling" point. its a lot smaller because of that and also fast 1 day trend culture.
Yeah, I agree with you, people are so used to constant stimulation and endless scrolling now that quieter spaces can feel boring in comparison, even though they’re healthier in a way, spacehey not feeding dopamine nonstop is exactly what makes it different, and honestly that’s what I like about it, even if it means it stays smaller and calmer

spacehey it's a very unknown social media and because of that spacehey have a verry small number of users
spacehey it's a pratically newborn social media comparated to twitter and reddit(spacehey were created only 6 years ago)
Yeah, that’s true, when you look at it that way, it makes sense,spacehey is still pretty young and not very well known compared to platforms like twitter or reddit, so a smaller, quieter community is kind of expected, in a way, that smallness is also what gives it its charm

Spacehey respects your time and it doesn't spoon feed you ""content"" in comparison to other social media, meaning people on places like tiktok or twitter are more likely to make an account, decorate their profile, friend collect a little, and then dip.
But yea I agree despite being quieter than before it still feels more real and the interactions here are still more meaningful compared to modern social media and I like that.
Yeah, that’s a really good point, spaceHey doesn’t try to hook you with nonstop content, so people come, enjoy it for what it is, and then drift away, and I think that’s why it feels quieter. But the interactions that do happen here still feel genuine and meaningful, way more real than most modern platforms, and that’s exactly what keeps me liking this place

Nah I love it here, I gave up on modern social media or whatever u wanna call it (the doomscroll pit) cause I'd rather have a smaller, maybe less active userbase than boring reels.

that’s actually interesting, maybe it really depends on who you come across, people do add a lot but barely talk and it’s kinda weird to me because I have a lot of friends here and none of them ever speak and honestly I’m too lazy to even remove them now, I’d rather have a few real conversations than a silent list, and yeah modern socials feel like a doomscroll pit, spacehey just needs people who actually want to talk not just collect

It is indeed not dead, lore. Just quiet. I think I prefer it this way
yeah true, it’s not dead just quiet, and I can feel that difference a lot, there’s way less interaction now and sometimes it does feel a little empty to me, but maybe that quietness is what some people actually like, I miss the old buzz here but I get why the calm feels nice too

I've been in here for a month, yes it's significantly smaller than regular social media sites but it does feel way more genuine, there's fewer people and interactions but the ones you get feel very worth it. Maybe this place was more full before I got here who knows, but I am cozy :)

it does feel real, thats why i thought i'd give it a shot cus tbh im starting to get so exhausted of the cesspool that is modern socials, and this feels a lot more like a safer space for self expression
I get that completely, modern social apps can feel overwhelming and draining, but this place feels different, more honest and open, a space where you can breathe and just be yourself without pressure, we just need some more people and interaction to bring the energy back, and I hope it stays that way and grows in a healthy direction

I believe that the point of art was never to be exhibited, only expressed. It depends on each person's perspective, of course, but at least what I like about posting things here is that no one sees it, or if they do, it will be very few people. It's something hidden out there, and only a few people know that I made it. I really like leaving my mark in hidden or little-known places and thats what motivates me.
