being quick or being hurried

kinda just realised there's a difference between being quick and being hurried, and how I've been the latter. 

when you're quick you do your job the same way, always, and with the same quality to it. You're not focusing on how fast you will deliver it, but on keeping the consistent quality as always, the quick timing is just a mere byproduct of your ability and knowledge gained with practice.

but when you're hurried, how fast you can deliver is the only important thing, not how good it is. you'll take any shortcuts possible, cut important parts away in favor of a shorter time and nothing else matters, even if the final "product" lacks a soul and you leave without proper knowledge, the one you can only gain with spending much more time than you are willing to.

patience really is a virtue and maybe i need more of it.
