This month I was able to provide around 5k in mutual aid!
I rebuild the front suspension and did a CV axle on a ninth generation Toyota Corolla. ($2000 shop quote)
I replaced both rear calipers on a 2014 Civic coupe. ($800 shop quote)
I did an oil change on a 2001 Toyota Camry ($100 at a shop)
I have future work planned on a two Subaru's, a Hyundai and a Pontiac.
Both Subaru's are getting new belts, new wipers, new pcv valves, fuel filters and cabin air filters (these take an hour to install!). (idk shop prices for these, but it would not be cheap.
One Subaru is also getting new rear wheel bearings, AC belt pulley, spark plugs and plug wires. (just wheel bearings would be over $1000 at a shop)
Doing wipers on a Hyundai. (Autozone installs wipers for free, usually)
Doing a valve cover gasket and belt on a Pontiac Vibe early next month.
I'm really happy that my mutual aid group is so effective at matching people in need with skilled people who can provide labor, knowledge and time to help! I hope my group can continue to be as effective even as I have to step away to pursue college again.
