I got a new job

I recently got a new job, after months of searching. It's a better one than i was expecting to find, with better pay and benefits than my last one, with the added bonus of being more self directed? as long as i follow the rules, there wont be anyone hovering over my shoulder nitpicking my process. 

I am a bit nervous though, because I will be on my own for a large part of the day as well, so if anything goes wrong, it will be up to myself to try to resolve it first before contacting management. Also, its the kind of work with a steep learning curve, and only improves if you can stick it out for a couple of years. I'll do my best to do so, I feel like this can be a career that if i don't mess it up I can keep it until retirement.

One thing that will become tiresome fast is how much time this job will take from me, Ive heard from several people that there is absolutely going to be a lot of overtime, and its going to be mandatory. I'm not going to have as much time to myself as Ive become used to. At least I'll have a good excuse for why I haven't finished any of my projects tho lol.
