a boy has accepted my rejection today without being weird!

Since I always post about men being weird and or making me uncomfortable, I should also share the positive interactions with men that I have!

This one guy today (around my age, probably a bit younger), says: "Hey, I like you, you're really pretty. Do you have IG?" I reply, perhaps a bit too tense saying: "Uhh, I have a boyfriend? I can give you his Instagram?" to which I'm met with a lighthearted "Boyfriend? You coulda had a MAN!", to which both the guy and the guy they were with laugh and mutter "dude that was so cringe...". I smiled and waved, said "It's alright! You were respectful and didn't say anything bad, I'm sure you'll find someone else, thank you!" To which they ironically yell out "WE LOVE YOU TOO!!!"

Conclusion? You can reject firmly without being mean, and you can ask someone out without being weird or disrespectful. There are cool peeps out there, even if there are a lot of uncool ones!
