Internet Girl by Katseye is AMAZING!!
This song has garnered a lot of mixed reactions online. There are a lot of people who hate it. It's getting the same treatment as Gnarly. A lot of people think the lyrics are bad. Mostly because of the "Eat zucchini, eat zucchini" part. I can understand why people don't like it, but I personally love it! I believe the "eat zucchini" phrase is another way to say "go eat a d*ck."
I really enjoy the vibes of this song! It has a bit of a pop-rock vibe. The lyrics are super catchy, and the choreography is amazing! Whenever I watch Katseye's performance of Internet Girl, I'm always entranced by Megan and Daniella. They really do the dance to this song the best! Especially the shoulder moves to the "Eat zucchini, eat zucchini" part!
It's totally okay for people to not like this song, however, a lot of the people who dislike Internet Girl have been rude to people who do enjoy this song. Music is subjective! Everyone has different tastes! Just because you dislike a song, that doesn't mean it's objectively bad. It's not okay to put down others for their taste in music. I don't like country music, but I'm not going to tell my co-workers and family members who enjoy country music that their music taste sucks and they don't know what real music sounds like.
I also don't like how people have been comparing Katseye to Girlset. When Girlset teased their song Commas after rebranding from Vcha, netizens were saying that their company was trying to make them more like Katseye. Now that Girlset's newest song Little Miss has become a hit, and Kateye's Internet Girl has been teased, people are saying that Katseye need to release music like Girlset! Can we please stop constantly comparing and pitting women against each other? I would love to hear Katseye put out music that show off their vocals even more, but I'm not going to ask them to be like other groups. If I want to listen to music like Girlset's, then I'll listen to Girlset!
Anyways, sorry for the rant. I'm just tired of people constantly comparing and thinking they know what's best.
I'm super excited for Internet Girl to be officially released! This song will be going platinum in my home and in my car!

I haven't heard Internet Girl (but I will definitely check it out), but I do agree with the message in the last part.
People really need to stop hating on others' music tastes; it doesn't do any good at all. It's kind of like when people hate things only because it's popular.
Also when people are rude to musicians and saying "Oh, but you need to be like xxx - it's what your whole genre is!" - musicians can do whatever!
Carolesdaughter is a good example of this, as her music style can do a whole 360 and she (at least I do not think) does not really care if people do not like it.

Yes! Musicians don't need to conform to one type of music all the time! I actually like it when artists I listen to try new things. It adds more variety!
