update on my laptop
the guy I took it to can't fix it, like i mentioned, there's a problem with the motherboard and a new one costs hundreds (that he presumably doesn't have), and trying to send it to asus directly for an RMA would also cost hundreds since it's not under warranty anymore
so yeah, im just not gonna bother trying to get it fixed and just buying a new one, just gonna back up everything that hasn't already been backed up and wait for black friday

what's the exact issue? if it's a capacitor that could be fixed rather easily. if it's something else then just get the SSD/HDD out and sell it for parts to gain some money back
