I’ll be frank- it’s my favorite Christmas movie of all time.
Planning to rewatch it again, watched it for the first time last year- highly recommend it, it’s the one with Nick Cage.
I know, I know, you probably assume it’s some stupid PG-13 family action movie considering the title and lead actor, but it’s so much better than that. It’s a deep, sentimental, OCCASIONALLY COMEDIC, yes, but not the weird emotionless humor they have in every movie now- no, it’s an excellent watch, digging deep into the modern American divide between constant careerism and genuine emotion, genuine relationships with the folks you love.
I won’t go into any spoilers simply because it’s too good to simply do so to someone, but I will give a brief synopsis- essentially, it’s about a successful businessman who’s life is turned upside down when he wakes up in another life where he ended up marrying his former girlfriend instead of leaving her for his career. It’s so heartwarming, such a classic… Absolutely underrated, I honestly wish more folks would give it a chance.

It’s a beautiful and amazingly well-done film. Excellent production, excellent scriptwriting, excellent acting. #2 favorite movie of all time (I’m sorry, but nothing can beat Walter Mitty).
Thanks for tuning in to my rant, y’all.
Now, please- go watch it already if you haven’t yet.
If you have, though, feel free to drop me your own thoughts in the comments of slip me a DM.
