𐙚🧸ྀིIta Bag Tour 🧸ྀི𐙚

Hello, my friends and welcome! One of my favorite oshikatsu hobbies is creating ita bags! Ita bags are a fun way to express love for a specific character / fandom and while many versions of the ita bag consist of repeat can badges and polaroids, I do also enjoy getting a little creative with mine too. So here's a tour!

...These are my ita bags focused around Aira Shiratori who is my favorite character in Ensemble Stars! I think the reason I adore him so much is because he reminds me of myself when I was his age.

This first batch is a good chunk of my repeat style ita bags. The repeat style is so popular for a few reasons:

  1. Many people enjoy the uniformity of how it looks. It appears more neat and tidy and a little less loud than the more creative and out there ita bags.
  2. When you have a specific picture of the character that is your favorite, it's fun to collect multiple copies of the same pin or polaroid because of how much you might like the outfit they're wearing or the colors featured. Especially because it makes it easier to match with your outfits!
  3. The idea if collecting a repeat of the same badge or polaroid shows a 'devotion' to the character. The idea that you love them so much, you're willing to hard many of the same item to prove it.

For me? I like repeat bags because there are outfits of Aira's idol costumes that I like more than others, but because I also LOVE the uniformity of a repeat bag. It feels consistent and predictable and I really like that. While repeat bags can often take a little longer to make given the fact that you need to hunt the repeat items down a little longer and be sure you have the right amount, the wait and fight sort of feels worth it to me. The best part is that a lot of ita bag inserts are removable! So if there is a set of badges or polaroids you like a lot and ever want to switch them into another bag, that can easily be done! I do that a lot with my can badges. The back bag with the gray and black ribbon and the glittery ribbons on the straps were all hand done by me! I loved making the bows for the straps most. It added a little extra cuteness to everything!

This second batch still features some repeat styles, but some of my more simplistic and creative ones. The white bag with the blue and white lace borders and the rosette was all hand made by me with the exception of the rosette which I purchased on Etsy! But I hand sewed all of the lace borders and ribbons. This was for sure my favorite creative project in terms of ita bags and was actually my first Aira Shiratori ita bag I made! Most of these bags are on the smaller side, but I wanted some smaller bags that could be suitable for quick outings and more every day use. My bigger ones are often saved for anime and comic conventions or the off chance I attend an ita bag meet up.

Do you enjoy creating ita bags? If so, what kind of styles do you prefer? I'd love to see everyone's ita bags so please feel free to share them here! And thanks for looking!
