RETAKE ON "LET ME MASTURBATE IN PEACE"

Hiya! Since a lot of you still know me as the girl from that post, since it was top 1 on the blog page for like a month, I thought my dramatic comeback should relook (new word dropped) on that masterpiece of mine.

Sex and masturbation are not bad words. The bipolar purity culture is as bad as it was when I wrote the og post. On one hand? Y'all use chai and whatever other porn ai, you visit r34 religiously, you call music which literal lyrics' are only about getting peed on and groped "femininity peak". On the other? Y'all treat the word "masturbation" like a slur. A couple is being freaky online? "Ew, I know what you did later..." ?? Yea no shit, animals made to mate are mating, crazy shit. "Ewww he's such a gooner!!" ?? Is he?? Is masturbating, doing the thing that most of us are literally biogically built for, making someone a gross gooner? Or is it that we have to be quiet about it and only pretty people can do "sexy" things publicly?

Masturbation is NOT a bad word, especially if you're over 16/17. It's not something impure to be afraid of. If you're on period and you have pains, and you go touch yourself, are you a porn addicted victim of the internet? MOST LIKELY, NO! YOUR BODY IS MAKING YOU DO WHAT IT CAN FOR THE MOST EFFECTIVE PAIN RELIEF! If you're a guy, and you walk hard around your girlfriend all the time, and then you go relieve it every few nights, are you a sex freak with no emotions and no control over yourself? MOST LIKELY, NO! 

Why am I posting this? Originally, I was happy that the post went down, I didn't like to be known as the "gooning post girl", but when my DMs filled with "hey can you please make it public again I need to send it to my friend who feels terrible because of that" or "omfg I thought there's something deeply wrong with me for doing that". After all, being emo is not only having side swept hair and wearing studs, it's also about saying outloud the things society wants us to be scared of. 

I'm about to be 18, and I know how much shame is followed up with these words, from my own experiences and the enviorement's. Getting your first vibrator first like buying meth, getting turned on by anything is seen as if you just publicly onanized on a tram by everyone else, and God forbid something happens to you during it, and you have to bring it up to your doctor. Ugh, get over yourself you nasty sex freak. But if you're not sex obsessed the day you turn 18? You don't have a sex toy filled drawer? Eugh, what's wrong with you? You're supposed to just immediately jump into the area of being okay and open with everything, otherwise you're a pedobaiting piece of shit. I want you guys to know that it's not like that. It's an awkward topic, but one that can give you slut shaming guilt forever if you don't realize that 99% of the time, you're just...okay. Normal.
