AU idea for Vampires SMP

it's a pretty basic one, but idc, i've never done stuff like this before.

so, as we know, Avid and Scott's clothes were kinda similar, just with the colours switched (idc that Scott had a massive collar and Avid just has a cape, we will be ignoring that)

What if Pyro and Owen attacked Scott instead of Avid? That would be interesting. Now I know how Avid died and all, but like, let's change the way they tried to kill him, maybe Avid stayed in the castle for a bit longer, and Scott was also in the castle just in a separate bit, and Pyro and Owen went looking for Avid in the castle, and in the darkness (again, idc that they have night-vision, I'm trying to make this work TwT) they mistook Scott for Avid, and attacked him instead. How would Pyro and Owen have faired? How quickly would they realise? Would Scott then attack Pyro and Owen, or would he immediately go looking for Avid to take him away from danger and the castle? How would this separate the vampire coven? As we know half the vampires agreed that Avid had to die, but I'm pretty sure that Shelby at least didn't like it, so maybe Scott would take Avid and Shelby to somewhere different or maybe try to kick out the other vampires. The possibilities for this AU is infinite.

(I'm sure someone else has thought of this already, however I did come up with this myself, i haven't read any Au similar to this yet)
