Recently I received a 1999 Buick Park Avenue as an inheritance, and then came the question from friends about what I am going to do with it. At this time I am not really sure yet. It has high miles, has body issues (dents/scrapes), and is a base model. Do I fix a few things and sell it? Do I make it a daily driver, upgrading parts as I go until it finally quits? Or do I revive it, bringing it back to it's luxury car days? Hmm, I mean it could use a supercharger, slightly lower stance, a black metallic paint job with black chrome, 18" gunmetal or black wheels, and a killer sound system. When was the last time you saw a Buick Park Avenue on the custom car show circuit? LOL That's just me dreaming of what I could do to it. But that one sentence about reviving it got me thinking....
I should start up a rescue service for Buicks. Not like a towing service. But like a kennel for stray Buicks. If someone didn't want their Buick anymore I could foster the discarded Buicks until they could find new homes. Adoption services would be available as well as a vet visit (inspection and tune-up).
Honestly, if you have a Buick and are about to either give it away or scrap it, you should contact me. I have 5 right now (1922 Touring, 1951 Roadmaster, 1967 Riviera, 1969 Sport Wagon, and now the 1999 Park Avenue) and am always looking to save another!
