So recently fell down a rabbit hole songs that aren't in English, and sometimes i wonder what's the meaning of those songs I'm listening to, of course i'm looking for a translation, but also what is the song's message, who is it directed to, what is it all about.
One of these songs happens to be Mentira (A Lie) by the Chilean band La Ley.
I do think the song is directed to a person who the vocalist loves. It seems he went on a destructive path (yk like drugs or alcohol, or maybe having a criminal record), without that person knowing, to the point that he got lost, but he knows that he still loves that person and he can't lie to her anymore.
