What holidays do you celebrate?

I'm not a religious person and I don't feel a need to celebrate any particular cultural holiday either. So there's a lot of holidays I just sort of sit out, it feels fake celebrating some when I have no personal connection with. I celebrate things like birthdays and anniversaries, mostly. Others are really annoyed a celebrate valentines day too, out of all the usual holidays (I view it as a celebration of all love, not just romantic, so I never quite felt "lonely" over it + discounted chocolates, hello?). My friends and I have some "made up" holidays too, maybe traditions"is a better word though? I celebrate a halloween/thanks giving mash up holiday instead of either separately, where we dress up and make a "scary" themed fest (like cannibalism, or sacrifice, and then just larp most of the evening). Also gets some of us extra time off work, since no one has to say exactly what the traditions are when requesting the time.

As I've gotten older, I've just celebrated less and less though. I dropped Easter pretty early due to not being religious, then Christmas for consistency, but then afterwards I've chipped off ones like the 4th of July or as I said earlier, combined some or tweaked what they usually mean. So I celebrate Valentines, birthdays/anniversaries, a collective sort of "fall fest", and then New Years. I could completely forget something was coming up if it wasnt for stores being decorated. There's less stuff on my calendar, but it feels much more meaningful rather than obligation now.

Does anyone else celebrate holidays differently, or have some unique ones of their own?
