the amount of blogs i see complaining about women saying they love their boyfriends...
"you're such a pick me."
"he's probably abusive/manipulative."
"ew, hetero."
"why are you even with a man? men suck."
"you probably don't even have one, attention whore."
"he's out cheating on you right now."
one of the most frustrating parts about this is how a lot of times, this behavior comes from self-proclaimed feminists. how can you call yourself a feminist when you're out here kicking women?
now, this may sound crazy, but stay with me... women are allowed to have boyfriends, and they are allowed to love their boyfriends.
GASP! SHOCK! you mean women can make their own decisions and we should respect that?! in the big year of 2025-going-on-2026?!
you're saying feminism means we treat all women with respect, not just the ones we deem worthy of it for petty reasons?!

the ass backward feminists out there, the ones who degrade other women to build yourselves up, yeah, we could do without you. if anyone is the "pick me", it's you. the "i'm not like those other females" type. like you watched mean girls when you were 11 and decided that's how you were going to act for the rest of your life. do you still deserve respect as a woman? hell yeah. do you also deserve to be knocked down a peg or 5? fuck yeah! those things are not mutually exclusive!
we don't need little girls being afraid of having a crush on a boy because they're scared the women they look up to will berate them for being into boys. we need to teach girls how to respect themselves, how to take ownership of their own bodies, and how to recognize an unhealthy relationship, whether it's with a boy or a girl or whoever.
when your hatred for men translates into disrespect for women, you need to reevaluate your version of feminism.
and if you don't consider yourself a feminist at all, you just put women down because you feel like it, congratulations. you're insufferable. may you receive the same amount of respect you give. actually, may you receive the respect that every human deserves. hopefully it humbles you, that even someone like you gets treated with basic human decency.
women with boyfriends, i fucking love you. bi, straight, whatever, who cares? i hope your relationship is happy, and that you're able to work through the hard times when they come, and that your relationship comes out the other end stronger for it. i hope you feel loved, held, and respected by your man. i hope he feels loved, held, and respected by you. i hope someday you're both 80 years old holding hands on a park bench and smiling back at your life together. kids and grandkids or no, i hope your relationship brings you everything you could ever hope for, and you feel fulfilled by the end. it doesn't have to be all sunshine and rainbows all the time to be a relationship worth having. if it doesn't take work, it probably isn't very genuine.

It's quite sad, especially since the "not like other girls" type is caused by the patriarchy. It's depressing that a girl may think she's different from other girls because she has coherent thought.
Why not place blame on the men who make them believe they have to act in such a way to be appealing? Punishing the result isn't going to solve the problem.
