I've already sorta made a post about this but I feel like I need to actually say it out loud to someone so that I'm actually committed to doing it.
Recently I've noticed how horrible my phone usage is. the other night I was up till 3am on my phone because I couldn't sleep and I couldn't sleep because I was on my phone. I feel like ever since covid-19 a lot of peoples screen time developed badly. I'm wanting to change this because I feel like being offline and not so active on my smart device would ultimately make me feel better, get a good nights sleep and feel more connected and aware of my surroundings.
I've done a lot of research into what others have done and I've seen people purchase flip phones and use them as their main device and then I've seen other people just delete all social media off their phones and just access it through their computers. I was thinking about getting a flip phone because I genuinely find them cool and growing up I always wanted one. I do think however, deleting social media off my phone is a good idea as well. I also might invest in an alarm clock instead of using my phone, causing me to limit my phone usage even more.
I've seen many people say "it's still the 2000s if you think it is." And you know what? Yes it is. It's 2005 right now. I genuinely long for the 90s-2000s. I think they were such cool decades. I love the technology, the fashion, the music. if I had a time machine that is where I would first go.
Born to be a teenager in the 2000s, forced to be born in the 2000s. smh.
