Idk bout yall but am I the only one who’s getting called a poser for listening to music other than emotional hardcore? :( so sad! But why do you expect me to listen to the same genre over and over again?? Like I really also like vocaloid music and visual kei..BUT THEN I GET CALLED A POSER FOR LIKING THOSE?? Hell, you expect me to be always in the mood to listen to the most depressing thing ever? What’s next, am I a poser for taking my skinny jeans off to sleep? Am I a poser for showering without a studded belt? JUST LETS STOP THROWING THE WORD “POSER” AROUND!! EVERYONE WHO AGREES WITH ME COMMENT PLS

Emo's grew from that genre of music and It translates to how they look and live but its unreasonable to think that If an Individual does not follow 1:1 they are not Included In the community. If you enjoy any other type of music go listen as Its what makes you happy. If a person you know or saw states that how you live is not following their beliefs on what an Emo should be you could rest easy knowing they are more likely to be a "poser" than you due to one of the main driving narratives of Emo culture being disassociating with societal conformity which completely contradicts their point. So don't feel ashamed for being yourself and do as you wish as long as its not harmful to yourself or others around you.
