Where does everyone stand on this? Personally I totally get liking old clothing and items you may not be able to get anymore in this generation but like what about the people that these thrifts are for, the ones who can’t afford good brand new clothing. These people deserve a chance to find good clothing too imo and we shouldn’t be taking those chances away from them if we can actually afford modern clothing brands. (btw this is all coming from someone who doesn’t thrift and buys from tripp, draculas clothing, trash and vaudeville, gothic renaissance and etc I was curious cuz my mutuals were talking ab this on their insta story)
EDIT: I MEANT the rich people that treat it like the freaking mall like ion mind ppl thrifting every now and then ykwim

Thrift stores throw away tons of clothes because they are unable to sell them, if anything more people should be thrifting
WOAH WHAT I THOUGHT IF THEY COULDN’T SELL SOMETHING THEY’D LIKE DONATE IT CUZ ITS SECONDHAND STUFF also I’m from NY and most ppl here I know actually say the same thing that I’ve said in this blog but we could all just not be informed tbh thank you for explaining! :D

I wouldnt call myself rich, id call myslef maybe like low/mid middle class, and i love thrifting. I enjoy taking something that is maybe something not mant would wear and making it my own, but i would never go to a thrift store to search for nice items to take and resell, like ive seen people do.
this is valid AND DONT GET ME WRONG IM NOT SAYING I HATE THOSE PEOPLE I’m saying I just feel like we shouldnt be taking away from those who need those thrifts more also i should have clarified I meant the ones that like treat it like shopping and ball out
