Photography.

Personally, like I've said a billion times before, photography and cinematography is to archive what I've seen for future enjoyment. The reason is those "Then vs. Now" photo comparison videos on YouTube, like this one below:

Nothing ever remains stationary. The older a photo is, the more valuable it'll probably get as it becomes a window to some point in the past, old long since. Besides, you can never know when the subject in your photo, inanimate or animate, would have its last ever photo taken by you. I've seen enough last photos of people to know it.

For example, on Christmas Eve 2024 my family went to Harpoon Henry's for dinner after we were done dolphin-watching, during its final year of operations (It closed in August 10 this year). I filmed with a camcorder as much as I could in there because my parents had told me so. It was a cozy place with a fireplace and everything. Such a shame that everything (on the left) has to be replaced with bland corporate boxes like these (on your right) for Dana Point's revitalization program. Both photos from the Internet. I'll probably publish these videos if I amn't too lazy to bother learning to censor out faces.

But it had to be done because the "current" structures are barely up to code.

None of these liveries below will survive past 2030. Yes, I took all of these photos.

I swear that one ordinary day one of these planes (and probably some other plane) captured on October 12, 2025 will suffer a catastrophic accident. You could never know what'll happen.

I've seen enough plane crash videos to know that an accident or incident will happen any second without warning. The cameramen did not intend to capture the incidents themselves to begin with; they simply happened to have the camera rolling. I saw a photo on Airliners.net which showed a plane engine caught on fire on the tarmac at LAX while the planespotter was trying to take photos of another plane. (Photo in question)
