Used to hate certain music but Carti probably changed me

So I heard about Nettspend early in his career but I didn’t listen to his music until this year

When I first put him on, I didn’t understand it. I hated how short his songs were & it felt as if something was missing. In July though, I decided to put him on & I absolutely loved it. I think my ears weren’t as prepared earlier. I also think that Carti’s "I AM MUSIC" helped a lot with this too. After falling in love with Pop Out, I can listen to absolutely anything.

Like 2021 me wouldn’t believe 2025 me would listen to Sematary out of all people. Like I remember putting on his music many times to give him a chance but I hated it badly. Like he literally sounds like a zombie & that music itself sounded odd. But it was something about his song "Headlights" that really made me start believing in him a bit more. After putting on a lot if his songs during that July period, absolutely love his music a lot.

In conclusion, Nettspend & Sematary goated

ik this is probably unrelated but personally id recommend WLR for Carti
more consistent sound than MUSIC and (imo) feels better on the ears. MUSIC is still pretty good but i think WLR is where its at :P

I love Whole Lotta Red but I’ve been listening to MUSIC like it just came out, since it came out

aw sick :3
how would you rank all of carti's albums? (self-titled, die lit, WLR and music) (or whatever ones you've listened to out of those 4)

For me, I feel like as Carti kept releasing music, his albums kept having more replay value for me especially since he doesn’t have an album that’s like another. I like every album but Music & Whole Lotta Red are the ones I go back to the most. Also On That Time is perfect while playing Jump Force

the replay value thing is fair enough and so is the whole thing about each album having its different sound. personally, i think music feels a bit rushed in some parts? and i dont agree with all the changes made to songs like HOODBYAIR or EVILJ0RDAN, but its still a good album.
also the thing about On That Time is so real i love that song
