I was wondering why I haven't seen him around lately. That makes him the latest in a long line of right-leaning users who have suddenly been suspended without warning over the last few weeks.
Some of my mutuals and I have a running theory that someone is utilizing bots to trip SpaceHey's automatic suspension mechanic. When a user gets reported enough within a short time frame, the system automatically suspends that user until a mod manually reviews the reports just to be safe. But as we all know, the mods are overwhelmed right now, and the chances of those reports getting manually reviewed in a timely manner are slim.
This means the whoever is doing this can keep users they want out of the way suspended indefinitely. Several of my mutuals were axed in the same week, and a handful of others, all conservatives. One of them had made a post (which made it to the top blogs) about being against abortion. No rules were broken by any of them.
I suspect I'll get the axe too eventually, lmao.

That's interesting. He made an alt account and that was banned as well
I remember seeing blogs get a lot of kudos by bot accounts a few months ago. So it's definetly possible

Yep; I have a feeling I know who it is too. There was a very recent post that made it to the top blogs and somehow got over 1,100 kudos — higher than I’ve EVER seen any other post get, even when it’s on a topic everyone agrees on. And it was about abortion. Very little substance to the post. The user’s page only had like 6 posts on it, all of which were “counter-posts” to topics that have been popular recently — abortion, Charlie Kirk, etc. Most of them read like they were written by AI; ChatGPT in particular has a particular style of breaking things down into bullet points and phrasing things a certain way.

honestly you don't just randomly get banned from spacehey that often so I think it's probably for a good reason

Idk much about him, but I don't think he deserved to get banned. Dear god, why can't we have free speech on this site like all the other smaller social media platforms?

I’m not certain but I think it may be to do with a comment he made. On a blog about abortion he graphically described something he claimed some abortions entail so he may have been banned for gore. It was afew hours after he made that comment that his account disappeared.
Whether that was the reason or not even though I have different views to him on most topics I liked him. I always found him to be civil when we exchanged views and I’m sorry to see him gone.
I see. Thats a flimsy excuse if I ever heard one. It warranted at most deletion of the comment

He was a very interesting dude to look at from a political perspective, even though I am ideologically different from him. Kinda sad to see him getting banned, but the entire community of spacehey is left-wing to say the least, so the hate towards him was to be expected

I had him once as friends and people ban him a lot. I sometimes don't agree with him but I didn't ban him becouse of it. I think it's crazy people do that becouse they can't discuss with others in a smart and polite way. I'm actually waiting for my account to be taken lol I don't think there is something hatefull in my blogs tho but people here like to ban a lot

i do think that he deserves to be able to have an account here, even if everyone else on here hates him. what people don't realize about free speech is that it applies to everyone, even if someone says something objectively wrong i.e. pseudoscience.
agreed and it's not my website so they can ban whoever they want, but it's nice to see some different points of view once in a while. this is what makes the internet great
