What happened to text-roleplay??

     Am I the only one who has noticed the lack of roleplay when it comes to sharing people's OCs, including your own? It's almost impossible to find roleplay partners without being either A: ghosted, or B: being called "cringey". 
Most people who grew up with roleplay, like me, for example, and just generally enjoy it, have moved on to using AI chatbots instead of attempting to meet new RP partners when most of the time they are RIGHT THERE. HELLO??

I think generative AI has just stripped creativity from everyone. It's quite literally killing it, if you will, but my AI rant is another story.

To be completely fair, I want more art friends and RP partners, which is my main cause to even make a post about it, but I also find it strange to ask anyone myself, as someone who just turned 20 just about 3 months ago
