got a new computer, has windows 11. i download minecraft and it won't open. uninstall, install, uninstall, install. same stuff, launcher broke. i restart my computer and try again... this time, it at least tells me why: i (essentially) need to sign in to a microsoft account to open this. WHAT? grade-a pain, this is. i downloaded it off of minecraft.net, so of course that means i had to sign in to download to begin with, so it is not like i got it illegitimately, so why is microsoft craftblocking me??
silver lining, i found out classic.minecraft.net exists, and that's pretty fun.

the big one for me is ableton. i believe i have made a blog about this already, but tl;dr, after a few ways of trying to get it to work, it either a. wouldn't or b. had limited functionality to the point i may as well be using audacity. that's the main thing really. otherwise, i really enjoyed linux. and though i could partition my computer to have a bit of linux in it, i am just not interested, unless something really major pops up.

malheureusement, i have already done all that/can't do that (with the login one, considering it won't even boot up :/ ). thanks for your time tho! :)

that involves logging in to a microsoft account, which i don't want to do for semi-arbitrary reasons haha

unfortunately with that, the website turns dutch, and i cannot change it at the login part of the page. it's just an overall pain on all sides :/

i have used translate, and that unfortunately has not helped much, as the meanings are decently vague and whatnot :/
