writer's block help plz

ive been writing this fanfic about these two boys falling in love, despite both being from orthodox christian families that dont support them. 

the problem is, i cant bring myself to keep writing, because i have absolutely no clue how to build my story. everything i write just feels flat and not... good. like at all.

i know its not that deep, but its something i really want to write, so im just dissapointed that I cant get any chapters out.
