Happy Friday!

I won't lie to you, today has felt normal. I don't think you guys know how long it's been since I've had a normal day! =]

It must have been well over a year...

Today I ventured into college with a friend to do our weekly Covid Test. Due to the fact that we both tested negative, we both we explored the nearby paths and then sat down to have lunch. It was really nice talking to someone. It has been well over a year since I've been allowed into college properly, let alone allowed to converse with people in my classes!

Following this I decided to get the train home. The vibes just hit really right, I don't know what it was about the environment on there today but I was honestly living for it.

After that, I wandered my way back home using this new footpath I found yesterday. I have no pics but its truly beautiful!

Whilst exploring every crevice of this path as it was such a fascination to me (I have walked down the path next to it for years and never even knew it existed) I discovered that there was a small abandoned chest buried half deep in soil, underneath a bush. It seemed as if it had been there for years, ignored by it's passers-by.

I needed a chest of that exact size weirdly so I thought I would dig it up, clean it and give it a new home, saving it from a slow death =]

I brought the chest home with me and although its been buried for years, it seems to still be intact. It looks super rustic and distressed, and as the wood surprisingly wasn't rotted it can still be put to good use!

I still need to work on the rust but that can simply be fixed by putting the rusty areas in white vinegar for an hour or so!

I don't know why I decided to rescue it, I just felt like it, so here we are! I love the little guy; even with his imperfections! it makes him super rustic and unique =]

Anyways tonight's plan is to watch some Netflix, followed by a quiet read or maybe some research into my university. I might even come online here for a bit in-between...

(p.s im so hungry right now haha, I have meatballs for dinner and im so excitedd)
