I think 2 years diffrent is just fine. But if it would be 3 it would be more weirder. I would just say try to be careful and not make her uncomfortable. Mabey give some small hint how you feel. Just do what feel best for both of you.

16 and 14 isnβt weird it would be weird if it was 17-14 or 17-13 etc. 2 years isnt a big difference at all that would make you a junior and her a freshman

Yeah you should probably stop talking to her in that way as soon as possible in my opinion. 12-14 is weird, 15s-17s is weird, 18-25 is weird, 23-35 is ok. I know it can be hard to notice the difference. Dont ghost her, just try to deescalate the relationship and make it more friendly than flirty, and try to not create an attachment issue (important).
