You liked this (okay, computer!) by will wood yap session

I feel like music isn't even the right category for this as it feels more like a short movie, but I need to talk about it rq 'cause oml

If you haven't seen the official music video yet please watch it it's so good 

The thing I like so much about it is how it starts off sounding, maybe a bit creepy, but calm. But the longer it keeps going the more stressful it becomes and the less sense the script (?) starts to make:

"Ten red flags that a neuro-typical narcissist is trauma-dump gaslighting you into sex-negative self-abuse emotional labor and internalized reverse-racism" 

The music video is what I personally find the most interesting though. 

It starts off with a female voice talking to you: 

"Welcome to your platform

Please enjoy responsibly

We are the democratization of media

We are eager to get to know you

You are only human, and we are here to help

You will finally be not only seen but witnessed"

Then it zooms in on a video of a sheep jumping over a fence. This happens while the female voice says "You are broken and we will heal you. We will save everything" the screen then glitches and the lovely innocent setting of the sheep changes, it's no longer outside but in a factory looking surrounding. Being operated by machines. 

The sheep then get cut open, and it shows two theatre masks. One smiling one frowning. There are also thought bubbles being generated in the meantime and being planted so it looks like all the sheep are thinking. The same picture from before of the sheep jumping over the fence gets planted into the thought bubble. Then a syringe stings the sheep and they lose their colors. 

I don't think this needs explaining but I feel like yapping so :3 

The sheep are supposed to be the internet users: you. They are taken from their lovely setting from before and their thoughts are being programmed, all becoming copies of eachother. The same sheep with the same thought. And the thing with the syringe shows how it makes you lose the ability to feel. You no longer think for yourself, your thoughts and feelings become what the algorithm feeds you. 

And that's my interpretation of the music video ^_^ hope someone liked my small rant :D
