The woes of Math

So it has been a little while since I had updated you all in regards to schooling and stuff. So here's the load down: the curriculum is surprisingly easy when it comes to history, religion, life skills, etc. But when math came creeping up on the things I had to prep and do a test for... yeah it was a struggle. I was never taught algebra or anything really past Elementary grade level when it comes to math (I was on a modified program when I was a kid and that involved none of the weird symbols and formulas). Essentially, while I did study for the math test and did my best to understand the content and knowing it was to see where I was at (aka a placement test), my highest score (I did 3 attempts) was 21/39. Love that for me.
That brought my overall grade down to a C- which is no bueno. Unacceptable.
I had to bump up my grade, I knew I had to if I want to eventually make it to BYU-I after I finish PathwayConnect (see my previous blog for more details and context), so I decided to torture myself even more by taking another quiz under the lifeskills category and I passed that with flying colours; bringing my overall grade back up to a B-. I will gladly take a B- over a C-, thank you very much.

Which brings me to my new focus point... I gotta really brush up on my math skills. Life skills is not just about reading, cooking, budgeting or being independent. It's more than that, most of which I can't even summarize because it's that intense. So I will only say this to anyone here who is reading this, is currently in school and is struggling with a subject or two...or three or four.

Which subject is your weakest/least favourite and why? What goals would you like to do so you can improve those little by little? Comment below, let's discuss.
