Writer's Block....

Dear lord someone save me!

For the film I'm writing...I was given the deadline of the winter solstice (Dec. 21st) back in March. And as per usual...i wait until the last minute to get my projects done. With a little over a month to go I've only added a scene and change to the short script.

How do you add on to a story you think you wrapped up? The short left a lot of intrigue, so much that those I showed it to wanted more. But how do you do more without doing too much? How do you fill out the pages without bloating them?

How do you keep the characters themselves when you know they must change?

Going from 30 pages to 120 is a daunting task in its own, but especially when you're writing a thriller. Perhaps one day I'll get that lightning in a bottle strike again where I was able to write those 30 pages in 7 hours one night. Or maybe the grueling pulling of words from my brain will give me the inspiration to keep going.

I wish thinking about a scene wasn't so much easier than actually writing it.

If any of you are also experiencing writer's block, I hope you get through it quickly! And for those who aren't...write as much as you can now before that spark is gone!

Love, your friend stuck in the prison of prose,
