Styling a shirt from the thrift

Hey guys! I got this lacey white shirt at the thrift and have been trying to figure out how to style it, and I think I've done it! when we saw it my sis said it was very Christian mom lol, but she trusted me to make it fit my style. when looking for cloths I've been trying to find unique shapes, textures, and cuts, I've been feeling very bored of T-shirts haha.

What I wore:

I decided to lean into the soft ghostly vibes of it. I wore my black cross skirt(that I also thrifted), my white tutu, black lacey thigh highs, black fuzzy knee highs, white leg warmers, digital drawing gloves, my spikey collar, and a ton of necklaces!

How I wore it:

The lace shirt had a white undershirt, so I decided to tuck that part into the skirt. I felt adding the tutu would add to the softness of the look, and ofc add fullness to the skirt. I originally had the spiked collar on my neck, but I moved it to my leg. It just felt too cluttered up top with all the other necklaces. I wore my rosary and cross necklaces to match the crosses on the skirt. I'm not religious, but I just think it looks cute >-<. I put on my black hematite necklace to match the beads on the rosary, and I put on my pearl necklace to match both of them and add more white to the accessories. I wore my lace thigh highs to add more lace to the look. I paired the fuzzy knee highs and leg warmers to add more interest to the bottom of the outfit, and also to adjust the silhouette. I think the look of thick legs/ankles is sooooo cute! I used pins to give the bottom of the shirt a cuter hem, idk how to describe it lol. I kept it all very monochromatic, I used different textures and shapes to add interest. the simplicity of the colors allows me to keep it pretty ghostly, but still have a lot going on.

(Ignore how messy my room is >-< I was recovering from surgery and it kind of got away from me)

I showed the prosses of me putting this together on my Instagram story. while doing that I played around with it a lot and tried different things, the one I took photos of though is when I added pins!(HTML is fighting me and wont let me change the size of this image ;-;)

Hope ya'll like the outfit! I'm excited to wear it out, I just styled this in my room lol. I've been trying to find shirts that add more texture and interesting shapes to an outfit. You can do a lot with a simple T-shirt, but I've been getting pretty bored of them. I think this shirt really helped me branch out! I've been using button ups to try and achieve a new look, but I don't wanna get stuck only wearing button ups like I did with T-shirts.

Woah, the outfit looks so cool! You've styled it well! The skirt really works well with the lace shirt. I liked how you used accessories and the leg warmers to balance out the outfit.
