A little fun fact about me:
I haven't gotten a naturally-occuring menstrual cycle in probably over 12 months!
The only bleeding I've got was from oral contraceptive use that I got prescribed. I thought that taking this medicine would solve my (suspected) hypothalamic amenorrhea, but it's only a Band-Aid solution, and I believe I should have natural cycles and am able to have natural cycles, I just have to recover from it.
As of recently, I started my HA recovery, and that means I would have to gain some weight. This is why I went out thrifting: to buy myself some loose and comfy clothing. I'm a little uncomfortable about gaining weight, since I spent well over a year bringing my weight from an "obese" to a "healthy" BMI and made the numbers on the calorie calculators a large part of my identity. However, I have to take this time to re-educate myself and listen to my body rather than over-generalized online calculators or social media feeds.
This will be a rocky journey, but I hope by not vilifying food groups and listening to my hunger/fullness cues, I'll be able to heal myself. I'm actually using SpaceHey as a journal with the diary visibility feature, which definitely helps me during bringing up topics during therapy and just overall writing how I feel down!
Anyway, onto the thrift haul!
I got this red hoodie jacket with hearts on it, and I might wear it tomorrow for class! I love it so much, and I can definitely see myself wearing this during February and on Valentine's Day.
I also got this cute blue jacket with white accents. The white line above the pockets are actually a drawstring, so I can cinch the waist area if I'd like. I especially like the collar and sleeve cuffs; I'm a sucker for stripes in clothing!
I finally found these three printed leggings. I've wanted to wear more sweater and legging combos, so I found these. Two of them are from Lularoe, which I only really remember for their very soft clothing, and these leggings don't disappoint! I still have to figure out how I would style these, but I'm glad I got some starter pairs, especially since their patterns pop!
