little fun fact of the day: rhino elected as mayor?!

in october 1959, It was election time in São Paulo, however the population was upset with the political candidates, so instead they voted on a rhino, Cacareco, from a local zoo. the animal received over 95000 votes from the population! of course it wasn't accepted so they had to do the election again... and unfortunately the animal passed away two months after it won
