Fatboy Slim vs Deep Purple - Praise Smoke On The Water
I think these 2 tracks has 2 separate reasons that made me make these 2 tracks. But let us start with the main track from today's main mix!
I had to say making a FatBoy Slim mashup with the Coolest Rock Band.. Deep Purple. We all know about the story behind "Smoke On The Water" where a streamboat was on fore while the band was jammin'.
"Praise You" of course, from Norman's First Album as FB Slim, and was featured on a movie OST. But I will leave it to yiou to rate it!

Bonus Track - DJ M.I.P. vs Véronique Sanson - Amoureuse (Original French Pitched Up Mix)
I promised you a bonus track, with the original french version of "Amoureuse" by the singer/songwriter Véronique Sanson. Kiki Dee made the English version amazing, with the additional translation by Gary Osborne. And yesterdays version by ONJ!
There is an alternative version called "Emotion" but it is not the original, so I will never play it on radio, or mix it.

Je pense que ces deux morceaux ont deux raisons distinctes qui m'ont poussé à les créer. Mais commençons par le morceau principal du mix d'aujourd'hui !
Je ne pouvais pas m'empêcher de faire un mashup de Fatboy Slim avec le groupe de rock le plus cool qui soit… Deep Purple. On connaît tous l'histoire de « Smoke On The Water » : un bateau à vapeur était au large pendant que le groupe improvisait.
« Praise You », bien sûr, est tiré du premier album de Norman sous le nom de FB Slim et figure sur la bande originale d'un film. Je vous laisse le soin de le noter !

Je vous avais promis un titre bonus : la version française originale d’« Amoureuse » de l’auteure-compositrice-interprète Véronique Sanson. Kiki Dee a sublimé la version anglaise, avec la traduction additionnelle de Gary Osborne. Et voici la version d’hier par ONJ !
Il existe une version alternative intitulée « Emotion », mais ce n’est pas l’originale. Je ne la diffuserai donc jamais à la radio et je ne la mixerai jamais.
