Actually, I'm kind of an ambivert. I don't really talk much with people who aren't close friends (it doesn't mean I don't like making new friends or meeting new people. I just can't socialize easily).

I don't want to be someone who pretends to be overly friendly and suddenly becomes chatty with cheesy jokes, only to end up being cringeworthy (this actually happened in real life when I transitioned from homeschooling to a formal school setting). I don't want this to happen again.

Plus, I think my sense of humor might be different from others, so it might not connect well. I'm very cautious in friendships, so I usually observe first and study you (like your jokes, speaking habits, and other things).

Sometimes, I have to switch between three different communication styles with three different friends so they feel comfortable and we can interact well.

So, I apologize if I often request to be friends with you but never chat with you. I think your profile is cool, and you're a fun person, but I'm afraid I'll fail to be a good friend.
