Three Radikal Rekerds #38: Questmongering Quetzalcoatl Quoz

I have a whole bag-load of compilation albums for you. These three in particular delve into some very dark, dream-like fields of leftfield music. I hope you at least give my selected standout tracks a quick listen, as they are well worth it in my humble opinion :3 

Genre: Power Electronics/Death Industrial/Ritual Industrial/Neo-Folk

Standout track: Genocide Organ - Industrial Strife Pt. 1

This is about as perfect an introduction to the absolutely legendary Mannheim-based label Tesco Organization Germany, or just the weird and scary end of the industrial spectrum in general. A veritable "best of" from the label's recent back-catalogue. 

(on a personal aside however, this release only serves to remind how annoying Tesco Disco are for writing everything in ALL CAPS almost all the time - maddening! You'd think Germans would know better! ;p)

Genre: Dark Ambient

Standout track: Alphaxone - Roots

One of the many thematic "various artist" albums of the dark and deep music specialists Eighth Tower Records. This one is themed around the ancient Greek word hairesis, the etymological origin of the word heresy, which more accurately translates into "choice", and less of a condemnation than the terms current incarnation. It's a fine collection of unrushed and utterly atmospheric aphotic ambient music. Cyclic Law and Cryo Chamber fans really ought not to overlook this label!

Genre: Experimental/Improv/Sound Collage/Electro-acoustic

Standout track: Concepción Huerta - INVASIÓN 

One of more recent compilations composed by the elucidating and encompassing Italian label Unexplained Sounds Group. They regularly release albums featuring overlooked and highly inventive musical outfits from a given nation/geographical region, as well as hefty "annual reports" featuring the best of the labels output that year.
