AI fatigue is real, and it surely has to reach a breaking point soon. It's beyond just stolen art at this point, it finds more and more ways to invade both the online and offline world. It only accelerates the decay of once beloved platforms, and muddies the waters between fiction and truth- something that will inevitably lead to a world where no truth exists.
It used to be avoidable. I used to be able to tell it to fuck off, but the bots have proliferated like vermin now, and every corner of the online world is infested with them. I think the ruling class responsible for this know how despised it is too, they simply make it more brazen on purpose to mock us while they march into your neighborhood to build datacenters that will triple your power bill for no tangible benefit.
You learn to get good at spotting it eventually. It used to be laughable, but the fact that it has evolved so far is terrifying, not miraculous. Technology is worthless if it only makes the lives of people worse, and AI does just that. The ruling class salivates over it because they dream of a world where they do not depend on us, where they can afford us no rights, and where we all become their property. Every new AI development is a step towards that world, and people's complacency for it is honestly the most alarming thing of all. There is no hope for all of us, but there can be hope for some of us.
