Voltron Christmas headcanons

Doing more headcanons because its been awhile since i made a blog post

Lance- loves traditional Christmas vibes, the multi colored lights, tinsel, the gaudy and over the top decorations and patterns, the train going around the Christmas tree, that stuff is his jam and he makes sure to go all out every Christmas. I imagine when he realized it was about to be Christmas after the paladins were all in space he got very homesick and less talkative than usual (eventually his friends would've done what they could to help though). I kinda feel like his favorite Christmas movie would be Elf, i never watched it but from what i think i know its a comedy and i think Lance would love the funny silly movies like that (I could also see him liking grandma got ran over by a reindeer). Lance doesn't have a specfic activity he looks forward to the most because all of it is what he looks forward to and tries to do them all each year. I bet his favorite Christmas songs would either be that run, run Rudolph song or feliz Navidad, he really likes songs that you can do a little jig to

Keith- doesn't really have a particular style of Christmas he likes though I do imagine he'd really like those miniature Christmas towns with huge amounts of detail, if he got one of those he'd spend hours putting it together and spend hours looking at every detail. Keith wouldn't admit it out loud but his favorite Christmas movies to watch are the super cheesy hallmark or disney channel romance movies, he knows they can be ridiculous sometimes but he still loves them and they make him feel happy. His favorite Christmas songs would probably be i want a hippopotamus for Christmas and baby its cold outside, the innocence of childhood and the romantic side of Christmas makes Keith really feel the Christmas spirit

Hunk- likes the warm Christmas look, with golden lights that makes everything look all soft and cozy, hes Lance's number one around Christmas, always there to help Lance out with his plans and join him on his fun. Though he also likes the gentle stillness of Christmas, getting to sit in front of a fireplace on the couch drinking a sweet Christmas drink with some alcohol in it. His favorite Christmas movie would probably be the grinch who stole Christmas, or other older movies like that, they're just perfect to relax to. His favorite song would probably be its beginning to look alot like Christmas 

Pidge- they like all the different kinds of Christmas looks but they do have a love for the darker Christmas aesthetics, they just find the juxtaposition to be alot of fun and be a unique way to enjoy the season. Their favorite Christmas movie would be polar express, and their favorite song would be god rest ye merry gentlemen, both the movie and song playing into that mentioned darker atmosphere for Christmas. I also believe they'd be an unbelievable fiend for peppermint, all Christmas season their breath will be so hilariously minty, Lance made a game where he tried to catch whenever pidge wouldn't smell like mint, his score is very low

Shiro- hes a white Christmas guy, not in a minimalist way, but in a snowfall as you walk through a city, fake snow on the Christmas tree, iscicles dripping from rooftops kinda way. He also likes to bring out the holiday themed stuff to wear in his outfits in small ways, imagine him wearing all black and then being a red and green plaid scarf or mismatching Christmas socks peeking out from his back shoes and pants. He likes making christmasy desserts around this time too, particularly s'mores based stuff, even if its just a large charcuterie board for him and his friends to eat while they watch Christmas movies. His favorite Christmas movie would probably be Elf too (even if he and Lance are close now Lance definitely felt a little giddy that he and his hero had the same favorite Christmas movie), his favorite music would probably be any of the classical instrumental music, or the calming gentle song like the jackfrost song

Allura-  traditional/vintage Christmas is her favorite and somehow, someway, she has managed to outdo Lance when it comes to sheer Christmas overload. Most would probably think that she'd be very lowkey and maybe be more like shiro with simple decor and outfits but honestly i imagine that when it comes to christmas her regal and pristine fashion and decor is completely flipped on its head. She'd just love the overload of colors, patterns, decor pieces and kinda see Christmas as this time of year where she can let loose and wear silly stuff she normally wouldn't. She'd be the type to wear reindeer antlers and Christmas lights while going to the store, her Christmas tree is filled with unique diy ornaments from her friends, she paints her nails a multitude of christmasy designs. She just finds the silly gaudy parts of Christmas to be extremely fun. Her favorite Christmas movie would be Rudolph the red nosed reindeer

Coran- I can't explain why, but i feel like coran would like those beachy kinds of Christmas, where beach houses are covered in Christmas lights and stuff, though im sure he would love pretty much any kind of Christmas style. He would help allura with her decorating of course, and i imagine hes particularly fond of the ugly Christmas sweaters, he'd be the type to go to the store or go online and spend the next half hour looking at ugly sweaters and laughing at the puns or jokes. His favorite Christmas movie would be grandma got ran over by a reindeer or home alone and his favorite Christmas song would be santa claus is coming to town. Hes also a big fan of gingerbread men, one of his favorite flavors
