I has returneth.

Wow. It's sure been a while, eh?

I decided to return to SpaceHey after quitting Twitter. As of writing, I have not logged back into twitter for 9 days. 

So, what has happened during the time I was gone. Welp, quite a bit, but not a lot :\

I have started college back in 2024 (I am in my 2nd year as of today. It's p fun but also p stressful at times, especially in my first year. I have also started doing some more Linux stuff, as expected. I started a github and made my own fork of the Linux kernel. Concider this as my own kernel playground. :p Where I can do whatever i want and port Linux on anything I want! :D

And as for stuff that has happened recently, I have already mentioned that I quit twitter, but the reason I quit is because the environment got way to tense and toxic. I just want a platform where I can find other ppl and chat n stuff (._.)  

I have also made one of my most secure Arch Linux computers I can make. I m using it rn to type this blog entry :D It's an older Dell OptiPlex 3070 I had for some time but didn't really do much with it because it ran Windows 10 like... bad :\ 

But as soon as I got Arch on it, with the security stuff, it felt like it turned into a supercomputer xD

It got waaaaay faster. And I did not stop at just installing Arch. I encrypted the HDD, installed ClamAV (antivirus for Linux), added a firewall and even enabled SecureBoot with my own personal keys. I have total control of the system now >:) 

For any Linux beginners watching this, please STAY AWAY FROM ARCH LINUX!!! The reason I am saying this is because Arch is one of the most unforgiving OSes out there. I would highly reccoment Mint instead. It's a more cozy experience :)

The reason I use it is because I can install only what I reeeeeally need. Even my desktop is very basic, functionality wise. It's LXDE which is a p barebones desktop that is enough for me to get the job done.

I also installed some other stuff like Steam, Discord, NGINX and even the Xilinx ISE to design my own chips :)))

I can even play Minecraft on it now so I call it a huge success :D
