Warbringer - Voe to the Vanquished
Warbringer is a California based modern thrash band formed in 2004. Like many other thrash bands, Warbringer is deeply political and doesn't pull punches when it comes to criticising authority. There are many political themes in their songs. Police brutality, societal decay, abuse of power and corruption in government.
Despite being a relatively unpopular and underground band, they don't really have a "weak" album. All of their albums are unique in their own way and they all bring something to the table. Their magnum opus, Woe to The Vanquished, is hailed as their absolute best and is commonly referenced when discussing the best modern thrash, if not thrash in its entirety.
Warbringers lineup has changed alot, but the most well-known (and beloved) lineup is the current:
John Kevill - Lead vocals
Chase Becker - Lead guitar & Backing vocals
Adam Caroll - Rhythm Guitar & Backing vocals
Carlos Cruz - Drums
Bass - Jesse Sanchez
They only had this lineup for around a year, but they're the people that produced Woe to the Vanquished. The current lineup is very similar, only swapping out Carlos Cruz for Chase Bryant on bass.
I give this artist a very rare 10/10, something that I usually never do. I'm very quick to critique something I don't like, but it was nigh impossible to find something like that from this artist.
Please comment recommendations below, as I will be making as many of these as possible.
