Addiction : a poem

Addiction is a dreary thing

of which humans are weak

our minds and bodies crave things

and yearn them as one speaks

but in the midst of addiction

we realize how pathetic

one is to be addicted

which is in a sense dreaded

Addiction is a sad thing

for we never know what's what

to be addicted to another

to so called love one such

              ~☆~

Addiction is a comforting thing

of which weak ones find stone

a support when things go wrong

a hand to walk from home

              ~☆~

Addiction is a complex thing

not as simple as drvgs

a pretty little craving ring

a bell yet to be rung

              ~☆~
