Today's Song: No Name #3

This song is so November. A cold nose and a warm cup of coffee. That's how this whole album feels for me. I love Roman Candle; it's my favorite Elliott Smith album. #3 isn't my favorite No Name, but it was the first song I thought to do today. 

The losers over on Genius say a lot of the lines in this song are references to the novel Watt by Samual Beckett. I've never heard of this book, so here is someone else's synopsis of it if you care. 

Simply put, I think this song is saying, "Hey, it's late, let's go to bed." Not all his songs have to be about doing drugs and being sad! Some of them are about going to sleep. 

Listen to Elliott Smith, hug your mother, and eat some fruit tomorrow.
