For a long time now, I've been going home from work early or staying home almost every other week due to some inexplicable causes, but the symptoms did involve my heart. I thought that maybe it was the environment making me feel that way. The people in my shift there were pretty obnoxious and we were badly understaffed, so I thought that was it. I switched to the night shift and the people there are significantly better. There's also a lot more people on that shift so I no longer had to overcompensate; especially for the slackers I was used to working with before.
I was so happy to deal with a lot less stress. But my symptoms persisted. I went to the doctor and turns out I have symptoms of POTS. Since I now know it's tied to an underlying condition, I thought it would be best to just quit my job for now and look for something much more accommodating.
Since switching to the night shift, I actually enjoyed my job a lot more. Plus I got paid pretty damn well. It really sucks that I have to leave such a decent job, but my health problems have been disrupting my work so much that it's not really worth it.
