(BIG ART DUMP) All of my entries for TSBStober!!

Okay warning this is a LONG READ! It's all of my art for TSBStober (for people who don't know- TSBS is The Sun and Moon show and other related channels :3)

(disclaimer: there's like 10 tsbs fans on this entire site so i'm gonna be explaining a bunch of context if anyone else wants to read! Of course you can just ignore it if you want)

Please note that i am a very inconsistent artist- some of these will be wayyyy better than others. I also added an extra challenge for myself to make everything related to the astrals and/or lunar. The astrals are like galactic beings of some sort? And some of them are incredibly loosely based on zodiac signs (like Gemini who will show up a lot). Lunar also for some reason has astral powers so he's here too, he has lots of other lore so ill just say it per drawing.

Day 1: Magic

This is an OLD design for Lunar. So back then there was smth going on where Lunar was a diferent AI who lived in Moon's head (sort of like Sun and Moon are in SB) and at some point he used a magic spell to give him permanent control of Moon's body and make every movement that he did hurt Moon :< This wasn't his idea and he really wasn't as evil as shown here but this is like how Moon saw him then- also the thingy he's holding is the exit out of Moon's head!

(This one was made wayyyyy later than actual day one. I don't know if you can tell honestly-)

Day 2: Rebuild

This is Lunar's current design. If you're wondering what happened to the old one, he literally BLEW UP, so here he is sitting in the remains (which didn't happen in canon but cool)

Day 3: Alert

I'm not gonna explain what the killcode is- i couldn't come up with how to make this Lunar or Astral related so i just did this :3

Day 4: Star

I was really proud of this when i made it :> idk if im still as proud of it now but im still definitely fond of this one. :3 For the 1 TSBS fan reading this, yes the star she's holding is Castor

Day 5: mourning

Inconsistent artstyle go brrr! This is Pollux and of course she (yes Pollux is a she because of VA limitations i think) has a 'brother' (not exactly ill get there later) named Castor and in this drawing he's dead. Also i have been told these two live on a couch in space.

Day 6: Adorable

This is a character i made named Tinea! His name means moth in Latin and he's a version of Lunar who actually is a constellation like the other astrals (he's a luna moth). He also really needs a redesign imo.

Day 7: pet

Based on an inside joke in a discord server I'm in that Pollux yoinks a random beaver from earth and calls it Castor junior, because beavers are called castor in some languages and their scientific name is castor. Don't question how it survives in space- also beavers aren't pets but we're looking at.... sentient stars or smth, so do you expect things to make sense /silly

Day 8: Gaming

Another one that was made later! Quote is from an old gaming episode :> Yes that looks a lot like Moon but it's actually Lunar.

Day 9: broken

That is an entire planet in the bg. And yes, this guy broke it. How dare he >:C /silly

Day 10: family

Day 12: delicious

This one blew up on tumblr because of course it did 😭

Day 13: Sleepover

I'm still proud of the lighting here :> This is Solar and he's commonly shipped with nebula who's another astral! ^^

Day 14: Drawing

Welcome to headcanon land where Lunar picks up art :3

Day 15: Popular

Skill slightliy diminished here, but i'm still proud of the vibe! Anyway the fact that these characters have a YT channel is actually canon in-universe so here's Lunar struggling with his popularity

Day 16: Pickle

This is a "He asked for no pickles" meme and i really should've put the text IN the drawing-

Also Castor's eye is on the wrong side and i didn't notice, plus you can really tell i struggled in general. After making some stuff i'm very proud of my art skills just crashed and burned here 😭

Day 17: Crying

This looks more impressive ig but i'm actually not very proud of it. I just feel like I could've done better and also shaded the texture on the bedsheets instead of just leaving the lines there- but i was in a rush soo jsdjhsjhd. This is Earth and she got hit by ✨spooky dark forces✨

I just used this prompt to make a scenario i had in my head for a longer time, aaand it requires explaining. So basically this is a popular ship shipping Lunar with Gemini. Gem can split into two 'parts' of themselves, Castor and Pollux. Gemini has a cool cape/hood and those two don't have hoods, so he's making them two as gifts! (God, i just realized how outlandish explaining this stuff is to non-fans I'm so sorry 😭)

Also i don't like Lunar's expression, his face doesn't look like him he looks like a whole other guy. But i was trying to get out of sudden art skill dip so yea

Day 21: Salty

So Lunar and Gemini canonically were in a relationship for a bit but Lunar fucked up and Pollux initially was way more salty than Castor over that

Day 22: Tower

I had a big idea for this one, but i was wayyy behind and had to get out, so i substituted this doodle :P Also they did canonically go to paris

Day 23: Learning

HOOOOO BOYYY R.I.P ART SKILLLLLS, I have a better sketch for this prompt sitting in my ibispaint which i WILL finish some day, but at the time i thought it was worse for some reason (guess i couldn't think clearly). Also it's OOC for Lunar to read books and you can tell i colored it at 5am 0_0

Day 24: Careless

I do realize this guy crying and having a crisis in front of a ballpit out of context is ridiculous but also he just actually murdered someone so yea 😭

Day 25: Dimension

Actual quote from an episode and it's Castor being an absolute savage over their relationship this time. Castor was talking to a version of Lunar from another dimension when he said this, about what would happen if that Lunar met the version of Castor from that dimension. Meanwhile his lunar was right there with him 😭 (Lunar looks a bit different here bc he got a design change)

Day 26: Hate

That's Eclipse and not Sun, Eclipse also had that thing going on where he was a differernt Ai living in Sun's body- anyway Lunar haaaaates Eclipse, but Lunar was also created using parts of Eclipse's code and it probably haunts him. (for the 1 tsbs fan reading this, if you didn't know that Lunar says that in one of the first eps he's in! ^^)

Day 27: Sick

Here's the last drawing i made for this that I'm actually proud of, i REALLY like how this turned out!!!! Pollux over here is basically acting as Lunar's lawyer. For MONTHS. That's not good for you 😭

Day 28: Chicken

Here's the start of my art skills ABSOLUTELY failing me (subtle foreshadowing). the next 2 drawings aren't affected as much but you can tell 😭

Day 29: Return

Here's Tinea again, this time a scenario i made up of him visiting Earth again after being in space for... god knows how long-

Day 30: Scary

All of the Astrals basically have superpowers (in my mind they're all nature related but nooo they had to give one super strength COUGH MOVING ON-) anyway one of the powers Gemini has is wind powers so i did this :>

Day 31: Halloween

Remember when i said subtle foreshadowing? Yea, you're fully allowed to laugh at what happened here because hooooly shit jdsjhsdjhsdjhsjhdsj 😭 i never want to look at this thing ever again lmaooooooooo oh my god it looks like i made it half a year ago!!!! 😭😭😭

okay, to be fair i was struggling with drawing pollux specifically (you can tell with day 28) and the day i made most of this is I was SO sleep deprived my eyes looked like i just smoked weed o_o but come ON. maybe ill redo it from pure spite but there's really other things i wanna do too ^^

Anyway! Halloween costumes! Lunar is Sora from Kingdom Hearts because he likes/liked that series, Pollux is Aeolus from Epic the Musical because they're similar (beyond just the wind powers), and Castor is Jayfeather from Warrior Cats because i have a very stupid headcanon that he likes those books :>

Of course I didn't end on the best note exactly but other than that I'm proud of what i created. I joined this challenge so i actually had a reason to challenge myself with art and i think i did pretty well! I sarted with trying to keep it low-key for myself but you can tell at some point i started taking it really serious (which also lead to me struggling to get through it). I actually got invested in doing some amount of shading during this month, which i didn't dare do before! But i still have to figure out how to consistently make it look as good as it does in some of these drawings, but other than that it's consistently Good Enough(tm). I also had only drawn multiple characters (that aren't just mirrored from eachother) in one drawing just a few times before this and all of those were a year ago! You can tell it killed me in some of these tho 😭 (day 16 + 31). I got time crunched at the end and it just became obligation but in the start and middle i was really enjoying it- just school was getting in the way a lot, hehe ;-;
