my initial thoughts were "omfg there is so many instrumental tracks!!" which is a generally good thing and i loved them but i especially liked valentine day (or junk singalong)... the most interesting thing about the album is its experimental element or its uniqueness. there was just moments were i got bored (first listen syndrome i suppose)... and ofc ive listened to some of the tracks here before but ive never really listened to the whole thing so it was nice experiencing it...
my top tracks are!
1. Every Night
2. Maybe I'm Amazed
3. Valentine Day
4. Junk
5. The Lovely Linda (i dont think you know how much i love this track despite its brevity)
HONOURABLE MENTION: OO YOU!!!Â
final score : 7.5/10
2. Ram (1971)

A BANGER AS ALWAYS!! I have listened to this song loads of time but it always hits diff... THIS ALBUM IS FARM LIFE PROPAGANDA I SWEAR every time i listen to ram i just want to leave it all behind and find a life in the country. the best part of this album is that there is SO MANY jabs at john (haha) but thats why its sooo good, it's fueled by a strong feeling. ram is also so giving blues, i mean most mccartney works are, but 3 legs??? GAH DAYUM! its so good!!!
my top tracks areee!
1. 3 Legs
2. Too Many People
3. Long Haired Lady
4. Monkberry Moon Delight
5. Backseat of My Car
HONOURABLE MENTION: HEART OF THE COUNTRY :)
final score: 10/10 (dont think i would evur give it lower than ten)
3. McCartney II (1980)

Listening to this album feels like a rollercoaster (lol) bc you start the album with coming up and temporary secretary, both are very upbeat, electronic sounding songs... it exudes such a silly and positive feeling. BUT THEN! you listen to waterfalls! which, if i may say, is a song so genuine and earnest. theres a sense of comfort in some of the tracks so it balances the other tracks that are raunchy/more grounded, which is why i loved it... its so diverse but also cohesive and well put. the album reminds me of late nights during the summer season! the track frozen jap for example, echoes styles of newer artists such as MGMT and Lorde (its so unexpectedly youthful but at the same time shows how fresh it sounded in the 80s)... this album def showed more of paul's range in music making.Â
with that said, my top trackz are!
1. Frozen Jap
2. One of These Days
3. Waterfalls
4. Temporary Secretary
5. Summer's Day Song
HONOURABLE MENTION TO: ON THE WAY & DARKROOM :P
final score: 9/10Â
