The Veil is Thin

My lineage on my grandmothers side has had deep connections to the universe and the dead for generations. It's especially strong in the women in the family. We all have had run-ins with the dead, most of us numerous times. My mother and I decided to utilize this gift and we both dabble in witchcraft, myself primarily working with the dead.

About three days ago, my mother who is nearly deaf screamed while doing the dishes. She told me she'd heard a child yelling for their mother right next to her, and that she hadn't heard something like it since right before she'd seen a spirit for the first time in high school. Neither of us sensed a negative presence within the house, but we decided to cleanse the area with rosemary smoke and create a barrier with eggshells to free whoever was stuck in our house. Even friendly spirits don't really like being stuck in one place.

Within the minute we'd cleansed the house, a black tortoiseshell cat came to sit on our lawn. We don't live in an area with strays or outdoor cats at all. If you're unaware, this is an incredibly good sign when cleansing.

At the same time, I felt a shift within everything around me. A shift for the better. I felt an energy so strong that I don't think I've felt a change this big coming since around November of 2019, just months before the covid pandemic. Though this time, the change is distinctly positive.

My spiritual friends agree. The veil is at it's thinnest and we can all feel a change coming. Something huge. I did a small reading with my pendulum and it confirmed what I was feeling.
