When I was younger I always dreamed that being a high schooler will be amazing and fun! But no I was wrong it’s not like victorious or any other high school musical show! I mean I knew that but still :(((
It’s so stressful and so complicated and STRICT, makeup is not allowed. No colors are allowed, nothing that can express who u are, it’s like they want us to act like robots more or less.

That's pretty much what school is lol, there to institutionalize the future generations - while it's kinda shifted a bit, that was the whole reason why it even exists (if we're talking about the US here).
Movies tend to romanticize not just high school but also being a teen. It's that time where you're old enough to have responsibilities but young enough to not have too many and be given a bit of a pass when you suck at stuff because, understandably, you're still figuring real life out. Stereotypically it's all about parties, hanging with friends at the mall, cheesy puppy love stories.. but in reality it hardly ever goes that way lol. I also feel like the people who make those kinds of media either A. Look back on childhood with rose tinted glasses or B. Want to portray the teenage years they always wanted but never got. School sucks for just about everyone homie, don't worry you ain't alone.

it’s completely okay to feel this way i understand where you’re coming from but i think you should dress however you want just not at school ( since your school doesn’t allow it ) but express yourself and be who you are !! it shouldn’t matter about your style or clothes!!! <3
It doesss everyone in my school is stylish in some way even though it’s not allowed but I’m to afraid to do so
