Hiiiiii! Hi hi hi! I'm a huge nostalgia nerd so I thought I would share some of my retro tech collection here in case anyone wants to see it.
This is a Sony Vaio Vgn-UX50. 90% of the time I boot it up the screen is just white which is unfortunately REALLY common in these things because they were cool, yeah, but garbage hardware in certain aspects. I think it's cool just to own though. Fun fact, Paul Blart Mall Cop evil bad man had one of these. I think Sony was trying to make them look cool and not dysfunctional. It's basically a whole *ss old PC with very limited storage. It has a touch screen and stylus and a horrible keyboard <3 Mine's decorated all cute too, but you can't even see 'cause if I tried it probably wouldn't boot up anyways. I used to use it to play Plants vs Zombies haha~
Thissss is where I watch Bojak Horseman and cry a lot. It's also where I play Animal Crossing sometimes. It's a CRT TV with a built in VCR, and YESSS I watch VHS tapes! I recorded the Sonic Movies on VH- I mean, I WOULD do that if it was, uh, legal? Yeah. I have an N64, a GameCube and a bluray player.

hiiiiii thumb in the corner of the picture :3
Here's my DS Lite and 3DS!! Not sure if the 3DS is considered retro yet. I don't use it much. I usually just play Wild World and The World Ends With You on my DS Lite. I like Style Savvy and Wario Ware DIY a lot too!!
Fun fact, there was a perk to me dating my abusive ex, MONEY. He loved opening blind boxes and that sort of thing so he'd buy amiibo packs to have fun opening them then he'd give me the cards. Maybe ALLEGEDLY being put in a chokehold was worth it <3 (It's been years, I have standards now and I'm safe lol. Also turns out I'm a lesbian?)
MY GAMEBOYYYYY MY BABY <3 My GBA doesn't get used often since it's not backlit, but when I DO use it, you KNOWWWW I'm playing Bustin' Out! Literally one of my all time favorite games. It's hands down the funniest sims game.
This thing still works! Idk what it's called but it's an LPS virtual pet thing. It gets compared to a Tamagotchi but they're really different. This one's main highlight, besides being ADORABLE and super detailed is the minigames and how big the world is for something so small. I'm impressed with it to this day!
Lastly, some things that FEEL retro but aren't. First, my flip phone. I thinkkkk it's the AT&T Cingular Flex 2? I think. Idk. I painted it pink.
These are an an agptek mp3 player, (which has A Goofy Movie on it in super low quality chopped up into 5 minute increments) my Tamagotchi Uni, some random Ali Express Hello Kitty flip phone that I keep seeing people drop ship and sell for WAYYYY more than I bought it, (if it's over $40, DON'T BUY IT. LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE.) andddd my Unihertz Jelly 2! I wanted the Titan Pocket soooo bad, but the Jelly 2 is the only Unihertz phone compatible with AT&T :( It's still cute and I love it but I want a physical keyboard back.
Anyways, that's it! I mean, I also have 2 broken Ipod Shuffles and one of my old phones with a slideout keyboard but I can't find them. I hope someone else appreciates the nerdy sh*t I'm into!

The collection is cool, though not the particular bits I'd've chosen personally. As a side note, I have a protip: put the style of your post at the bottom. It's gonna workk the same but the preview is gonna look like the actual contence and not
CODE.Yeah I've been slowly figuring that out lol, I didn't notice it was visible in the preview until I already posted a few blogs like this

I had the same issue, but you can edit the posts and the preview will update as well, so that's what I did.

OMG! This is so sick!! I’m slowly getting into old tech. I really want that same TV cuz I want a bunch of 80s movies on VHS <3.
The flip phone is the cutest <3 I lowkey want one so bad. Where do u get all these gems?
Incoming yap:
I get them from all over the place. The TV was a Christmas gift from my mom maybe last year? She bought it online somewhere, secondhand of course. You gotta pay attention to the condition of older TVs because the CRT I was given back in high school ended up being one of the ones you sometimes had to punch the top of to get the static to go away LMAOOO
If you wanna look for stuff in person, there's a few places I recommend. For VHS tapes, any random thrift store probably has a bunch collecting dust. Try picking random movies you've never seen! Some are god awful, but others will surprise you. For example, I had no idea what Nuts was and that movie made me SOB. Crime and Punishment in LA ended up actually being an older movie, Crime and Punishment in the wrong case. It was weird but so entertaining.
For games, find your nearest retro game store. Don't be afraid to secretly compare their prices to online prices in case they're overcharging too much, but there probably will be somewhat of a markup since they gotta fund a whole store staying open. I found my N64 at one for less than you'd get it online. That soft gold one. In PERFECT condition.
My DS Lite was from a pawn shop. I got it for $60 and it was DISGUSTING looking. Those pastel ones got grimy so fast lol. I cleaned it up really well tho!
As for the flipphone, it's really cheap at places like Walmart. My dad works construction and he uses the same one because it's easy to replace if it gets broken at work. Not my favorite flip phone, but AT&T is really limiting abbout what phones I can use. If you're on another phone plan there's SOOOO many options that still work perfectly. I like taking mine on trips or outings so I'm not tempted to end up on my phone lol.
