Let me start off by saying I grew up on Xbox.
Got the 360 when I was little, eventually got an Xbox One S, and finally, settled on a Series S last November. I loved Halo as a kid, Forza, the works. Honestly, when Forza and Gears went to Playstation, I wasn't upset. In fact, I thought it was great that they'd finally get to play games I've been enjoying for years.
When Halo goes to Playstation though, it's a little different.
See, I'm not upset about it being on Playstation starting with Campaign Evolved, but instead I'm upset at the implications. That's essentially Xbox waving the white flag. This is the "Flowers are blooming in Antarctica" of Xbox. It's over. They're pulling a Sega. This will be the final Xbox console. If not, then the next one will, and it will perform badly.
Repeatedly, Microsoft has just shot itself in the foot with Xbox, ever since 2013. It all began with that stupid media-focused console reveal where they couldn't stop talking about all the voice commands and television shit when it's a GAMING console first. The equivalent of that today is their idiotic "This is an Xbox" campaign, based on the fact that they put their games on dear god anything but a good Xbox.
TL;DR? Xbox is done for, but I'm going down with the ship.
